Because of my own errors, the published version of this paper in Real Estate Economics contains inaccurate captions for figures 6 and 7.
The caption for Figure 6 should read:
Source: CPS ASEC and author's calculations. "Behavioral Component" is the headship rate holding constant the demographic profile (including age, sex, race and ethnicity) of the population. "Demographic Component" is the headship rate holding constant the average headship rate in each demographic bin and allowing only the demographic profile to vary.
The only change relative to the published version is that the words "Behavioral" and "Demographic" are swapped.
The caption for Figure 7 should read:

"Age Subcomponent" is the headship rate allowing only the age profile to vary (holding constant the ethnicity, race and sex profiles), while "Ethnicity, Race and Sex Subcomponent" is the headship rate allowing the ethnicity, race and sex profiles to vary (holding constant the age profile).
The major change here is to swap in the correct definition of the demographic component from the caption for figure 6. As long as I was at it, I also tweaked the definitions of the two subcomponents to be a little more clear.
